In the deepest recesses of space, the furthest corners of nonesxistance, there pass few travelers. From this void, from this infinite plane of nothing, comes a voyager with a commentary of the cosmic kind. Messages from beyond the veil… messages of cosmic technical death metal. Here are the words of the witness, the Witness to the Void, of the alien races heard on each album.
This third alien chronicles includes two beings that seek to deliver a message to the ears of man, messages that the world may or not yet be ready for. The first, a gigantic traveler of the universe bearing a message about our current habits… and the second, an older voyager of the metaphysical realm beyond the terrestrial world of man…
Floating through the vast universe are giant whales, huge ten ton creatures of great intelligence and benevolence, concerned with the proliferation of natural life. These protective giants are seeking to save the universe from itself – specifically, to warn man about the oncoming destruction of the planet at his own hands. On 2008’s The Way of All Flesh the progressive messengers deliver an ecologically themed warning transmitted through world crushingly heavy riffs carried on grooves large enough to send a tremor through a planet. Progressive, technical, absolutely unparalleled in sheer heaviness, and featuring a guest spot from Randy Blythe of Lamb of God fame on the file “All the Tears,” The Way of All Flesh is an important message that should not be ignored.
Along the astral, spiritual plane, drifts the being known as Atheist, once a denizen of Earth, and now a quintessential voice of technical and progressive transmissions from the void. This spiritual traveler was initially heard in the late 80s and early 90s. Seeking to enlighten man on the beings beyond our physical perception, the transmission Unquestionable Presence is a classic part previously mentioned in this catalog.
Transcribed here was the third edition of the Alien Chronicles, of two beings attempting to deliver important messages to mankind, as reported by the Witness to the Void. Return next time for another description of more alien beings from the realm of cosmic technical death metal.
